The famous and beloved book of poems by Leah Goldberg (1911-1970) was published in 1949 with illustrations by Aryeh Navon and has since been printed in dozens of editions and thousands of copies.

From generation to generation, they sing wonderful lines like "Night, night, the moonlight shines / On the flowers that bloom in the garden" ("Hymn to Hyacinth"); "The lamb sits on its mother's lap, / He lies down in the fold and sleeps" ("Evening Over Gilead"); "All the days, all the days, / I dream of a magic hat" ("Magic Hat") and "The flute is simple and delicate, / And its voice is like the voice of the heart" ("The Flute").
The book also contains lesser-known poems that are an opportunity to get acquainted with. All forty of its poems were carefully selected by Leah Goldberg herself, from many of her poems that were published in 'Daver for Children' and 'Mishmar for Children'.

On the fiftieth anniversary of the great author's death, a festive edition is brought to you, carefully designed and combining the old with the new. Four illustrators and one illustrator who grew up on the book's lap bring their interpretations of the poems they loved, in line and brush, in homage to Arie Navon and Leah Goldberg.
